SizzleAsia was born from a simple belief: food has the power to connect people, cultures, and experiences.


Founder May Stone’s passion for Asian food is rooted in a lifelong exposure to authentic home cooking, influenced by Filipino flavours and the wider Asian culinary traditions she grew up with. Food was always central to family life, with bold tastes, carefully prepared sauces, and recipes shared across generations. These early influences sparked a passion that would later shape her entrepreneurial journey.


In 2008, May launched Rice & Noodles Express, a street-food concept delivering freshly cooked Asian dishes at festivals and events across the UK. Between 2008 and 2012, the business served over 100,000 customers, building a loyal following and strong repeat trade. As popularity grew, customers increasingly asked to take the flavours home with them. In response, May began producing sauces in small batches, selling them directly alongside the food, providing clear validation of demand.


Although the original street-food operation eventually paused, the insight gained proved invaluable. The brand had demonstrated strong sales performance, clear customer appetite, and a gap in the market for accessible, authentic Asian sauces.
SizzleAsia represents the next stage of that journey — relaunched with a refined focus, enhanced quality controls, and a retail-ready approach designed for sustainable growth. The mission remains the same: to make real Asian flavours accessible, affordable, and easy to use for everyday home cooking in the UK.
